In the Summer of 2022, I thought it would be cool if someone did a Dr. Sparkle style retrospective on the original Playstation. I didn’t grow up with that console, and I only ever had a limited exposure to those games after becoming an adult. When I went looking for a chronogaming blog or video series, I wasn’t able to find anything with the breadth that I wanted. So, I decided to do it myself.
After working my way through the first year of Playstation games, I got the bright idea to expand my scope to include the Sega Saturn, with which I had even less experience. Eventually, I took the plunge and expanded out to the 5th generation of game consoles generally. There are a lot of games to go through, and it’s going to take a while.
